Galveston, TX – The Galveston Fire Department welcomed five new members to its team as the department introduced its newest probationary firefighters.
The new firefighters are David Sanchez, Stephen Limones, Courtney Smith, Joseph Schweig and Carson Teague.
During their first week of orientation, the probationary firefighters trained on several areas essential to their work, including radios and building construction, vehicle extrication, patient care, and search and rescue.
The department said it was excited to have the five new firefighters join the team and looked forward to the work they will do in serving the Galveston community.
